We are a small family run Lavender Farm on the northern edge of the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds. We grow around seven acres of lavender which we distill here on site in our unique wood fired Distillery. Our 100% Pure Wolds Way Lavender Essential Oil is used in a wide range of products from Aromatherapy to Household Products. Our dried Lavender Flowers are used in a range of Preserves and other culinary delights, all our products make unique gifts not found on the High Street!

What is an essential oil? An essential oil is produced by steam, steam and water, or water distillation of vegetable plant matter. The vapours are condensed to yield a water condensate and an essential oil that can be separated off by gravity.

This wonderfully versatile natural product is highly beneficial both medicinally and therapeutically. Used neat ,with caution (see bottom of page) or mixed with other oils and base products it is a must for your medicine or bedside cabinet. Lavenders healing properties are legendary. Lavender oil is excellent for respiratory problems- a few drops over a bowl of steaming water will help relieve bronchial and asthmatic symptoms.
As an insect repellant used in a burner or rubbed on the skin mixed with carrier oil. (wheat-germ or similar to mix in the Lavender oil).

1st the Lavender is cut using our harvester that is pulled by our Siromer tractor.
The Lavender is brought in from the fields using a 7.25" Narrow Gauge Railway
The freshly cut Lavender is loaded into the still.
The ponds provide the vast amounts of cooling water required during the distillation of the Lavender.
